INSULATING AN EXISTING HOME OR BUILDING

Enjoy warmer winters, cooler summers, and save a bunch on your utility bills.
For Kansas (Zone 4)
U.S. Department of Energy recommendations are:
R38 for Ceilings (below ventilated attics)
R13 for Walls (assuming 2x4 construction)
R19 for Floors

Loose fill insulation is blown into attics. Conventional fiberglass or cellulose material is applied to achieve any R-value on a ceiling below a ventilated attic. Attic fill is an easy way to add performance to your structure. The full R-value can only be achieved with proper installation.

Existing walls are insulated with a “drill & fill” process. Small ports are opened between studs and insulation is blown in. This can be done through interior or exterior walls.
